Tidebound is an authored, fresh-start story invitation. Inhabitants still choose their own lives. Your current world is archived only if you confirm Reset.
Snapshots of the whole world: land, inhabitants, memories, inventions and rules. One is taken at every dawn, before each invention and before each new rule. Restoring saves the present first, so you can always come back.
Where the minds think: any OpenAI-compatible chat API. A new endpoint, model or key is tried with one small call first and only used if it answers.
Off answers fastest. Some models reason for minutes when asked to, past every timeout; lower these if world answers time out.
What the world noticed going wrong in itself, and what it did about it. Teaching notes and laws can be taken back; code proposals are only kept for review and never applied.
Who may sign in. An admin can do everything, a viewer can only watch, and a whisperer can watch and speak to the inhabitants. A new password or a removal signs that account out everywhere.
